The New FlaglerCounty.biz is Up
It's been a long week getting the site upgraded to a whole new framework. This new upgrade allows us to provide quality features in the future and makes our site web 3.0 ready. Below are some improvements to the site.
New Business Listing Layout:
The new layout is less cluttered and features the most popular social media links to share the listings. It's all about that search engine placement!
New Framework:
FlaglerCounty.biz has been recoded to support the latest in web security and database structural integrity. With this new system upgrade, FlaglerCounty.biz is more secure, faster and ensures the best features can be added in time. So in short, the site is now upgradable when ever we need it to be.
Send Inquiry and Business Claim:
When it comes to contacting businesses, FlaglerCounty.biz makes it easy. Now, when you visit a business listing, you will see a new Send Inquiry button. This allows users to contact businesses directly, making contact a simple task. Is your business already listed? Simply use the claim business option and submit information for us to authenticate you as the business owner or manager.
Nested Categories:
We added nested categories for precise placement of your listings. This helps with the clutter problem we had before and organizes the listings much better.
Some additional features we are adding:
We are finishing up a points system. This will allow our members to generate user points based on their activity on FlaglerCounty.biz. Once users reach different point amounts, they can redeem said points for a variety of prizes. We will be updating members about this feature soon.
There are some other features in the works, but we will save the news on them for another time. Enjoy the site!
Update 4
Well we are working out the last phase of our upgrade. We apologize for the time this has taken. It was a necessary step to ensure a better experience for our members and visitors. We are estimating the site being operational by either tomorrow or Sunday. Thank you all for your patience!
Upgrade Update 3
We had a looooong day today. Hours upon hours of coding and designing a new look for the site We migrated all business data into the upgraded system and should be putting the final touches on tomorrow. Almost there!

We made great progress yesterday. Today we continue migrating all of the directory data to the upgraded system and implement additional features. We know some of you are waiting for the site to return. Don't worry, it's almost done!

We are in the middle of a huge upgrade which is taking longer than expected. We are making sure this upgrade is flawless and is released without any type of bugs, especially with all the new features that have been implemented.
